The Nine Templar Laws were given to the Temple by our Gatekeepers, who received their commandments directly from Lord Satan. They are the rules our members are expected to obey to maintain Temple order and discipline, as explained herein.

Law 1 (Expulsion): I understand that violation of any of the Nine Laws or Nine Maxims of the Temple of Satan is grounds for permanent expulsion from the Order. I understand that Initiates may be expelled at any time by a Gatekeeper, but higher ranking Apprentices and Lords must be expelled by decree of two Lords and/or from our supreme lord, Satan.

Law 2 (Chain of Command): I acknowledge that the Temple of Satan chain of command flows directly from Dark Lord Satan to the two Gatekeepers (“the Two”) to their nine subordinate Apprentices (“the Nine”) who will be commonly refereed to as Lords, with specializations of Knight, Priest, Warlock/Witch, Craftsman, Progenitor, Financier, Politician, Scientist and Scholar, to new members of the Order, also referred to as Initiates.

Law 3 (Nine Gates): I understand that to become a Gatekeeper, I must complete the Nine Gates initiation program under the guidance of a Lord or Gatekeeper.

Law 4 (Apprenticeship): I understand that to become a Gatekeeper, I must become an Apprentice of one of the Two and pass his final trials.

Law 5 (Violations): I agree that if I find a Gatekeeper, Lord, or fellow Initiate to be in violation of any of the Nine Maxims or Nine Laws I will challenge him. If the issue is not resolved, I will appeal to the Two Ruling Gatekeepers.

Law 6 (Confidentiality): I agree to keep my training sessions with the Temple strictly confidential, and grant the Two Gatekeepers consent to record and store them at the Temple compound. I also agree that I will never reveal my membership in Temple of Satan or any of my activities therein to anyone but a Gatekeeper, Lord, and/or Initiate.

Law 7 (Exclusivity): I agree to only pursue Satanic training with the Gatekeepers of Temple of Satan; I will not associate with any other Satanic orders, sects, or covens unless it is the will of the Two.

Law 8 (Alteration): I understand that the Nine Templar Maxims and Nine Templar Laws of the Temple may only be altered by decree of the Two, as so guided by Lord Satan Himself.

Law 9 (Preservation): I understand that if the Gatekeepers are killed, they will be replaced by their designated Apprentices. If the Temple is also destroyed, another Temple will be built by the new Gatekeepers. If all the Templars are killed, a new Temple Order should be formed by anyone recovering the stored records of the Temple who feels so guided by the will of Lord Satan.
